Hope for the Holidays

Thank you LifeSource

Dear Paige and LifeSource,

You are making a difference in the lives of children and families in your community. Thank you for investing in our mission of “Keeping Children Safe and Families Together.” We are grateful for your support and hope you take pride in the impact your gift makes to break the intergenerational cycle of abuse and neglect.

Together we are transforming the lives of over 1,300 children and 800 families annually by offering therapeutic classrooms, home visiting, parenting education, respite care, and wraparound services in Marion and Polk counties.

“Family Building Blocks is like the fourth leg on my table. If I need something, they are there and I know that.” – Natallea, Family Building Blocks mother

Thank you for providing Hope for the Holidays for families like Natallea’s. Partnering with Family Building Blocks, Natallea says she and her husband Michael learned the parenting skills necessary to confidently raise their three young daughters.

You are helping families with young children become the best parents possible and you are ensuring that the children of our community have a bright and healthy future. We are pleased to acknowledge your Hope for the Holidays in-kind donation below.

With Appreciation,

Patrice Altenhofen
Executive Director

ARCHES Project

Everyone deserves safe and stable housing. Together, with partners like LifeSource Natural Foods and volunteers, ARCHES is going beyond symptoms alone and addressing the root causes of homelessness.

The ARCHES Project is continuing to provide housing, basic needs, and services to families, individuals, and Veterans in Marion and Polk Counties.

ARCHES can provide food resources, rental and deposit assistance, as well as referrals to other community providers and resources. Please get in contact with us through email at resourceservices@mwvcaa.org or by phone at 503-399-9080extension 4036.

Here are some images of their low boundary shelter, where they allow individuals and families who are respectful to others.

Thanksgiving Dinner for 23 Hungry Families

We’re proud to work with First United Methodist Church in Salem delivering much-needed Thanksgiving meals to hungry families.

Through our Outreach Coordinator, Paige, we donated fresh organic vegetables, potatoes, and spices to 23 families for traditional Mexican Posole and turkey dinners.

Thank you Paige for putting your community first 💪.

About Salem First Methodist Church

Celebrating a diversity of views!
At First United Methodist we have a great diversity of views on social, theological, and political issues and we celebrate this fact. Such diversity draws many to our fellowship and truly makes this church a gracious place. Here is a church where there is room to think and to question, to affirm faith and to listen to others, at times to argue and disagree, but always to appreciate each other, our community, and work together to end hunger and homelessness.
